GSA members of all career stages receive member benefits that include access to professional development programs, eligibility for travel awards, and discounted meeting registration. Explore your member benefits. GSA membership supports our programs and allows us to develop new initiatives to serve our community.
GSA membership is based on a calendar year, regardless of the month in which you join. The membership term begins on January 1 and ends on December 31. We are now accepting membership for 2023.
Note that we have recently changed membership processing systems. If you have been a GSA member or attended a GSA conference in the past five years you already have an account in the system and should use the “forgot your password” option .

Low- and Middle-Income Country Membership
Scientists and students who are full-time residents of countries with low- and middle-income economies are eligible for a complimentary two-year GSA membership. Please email society@genetics-gsa.org to request or renew an LMIC Membership.
Emeritus Membership
You are eligible for a free emeritus membership if you have been a Regular Member for the past five consecutive years and are fully retired. Emeritus status is automatically renewed each year. Please contact us if you wish to apply for emeritus status: society@genetics-gsa.org.
